Historic Leadership Election in Japan
Tokyo, Oct 4: Japan’s Former Economic Security Minister, Sanae Takaichi, has been elected as the Leader of the Ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) during a Vote Helde on Saturday. She is poised to make history as Japan’s first female prime minister, with her official appointment Scheduled for October 15.
In the Runoff, Takaichi Secure 185 Votes, Surpassing Koizumi, Who Received 156 Votes, After No Candidate Achieved a Majority in the Initial Voting Round, AS reported by located.
