Inaugurating the grand exhibition held in Lucknow on the occasion of ‘Partition Vibhisika Memor Day’, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath strongly attacked the Congress. Describing the partition of 1947 as a black chapter of the appeasement policy of the Congress, he said that this horrific tragedy broke the unity of Sanatan India and hurt the country. He said that today the whole country is heartbroken remembering the partition of 14 August 1947. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in 2021, declared this day as Memorial Day and brought alive the history.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the exhibition organized on the occasion of ‘Partition Vibhishika Smriti Day’ and called upon the countrymen to take lessons from history. Through the violence that arises after partition in the exhibition and digital archive photos, newspaper clippings, state records and protected families related to the people affected after partition, the price of appeasement was made aware of the pain of that era.
Congress divided the country in power greed- CM Yogi
The Chief Minister said that the revolutionaries embraced the hanging trap for freedom, but the Congress divided the country in greed. He alleged that the campaign to make areas such as Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan in West Pakistan to make Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist devoid was the result of the policy of Congress. In this violence, 15-20 lakh people died and crores were displaced. CM Yogi said that it was the culmination of atrocities, which the Congress promoted.
Government will give proper rehabilitation to the afflicted families under CAA- Chief Minister
The CM also accused the Congress of indifference to the displaced. He said that the then governments neither set up a memorial nor museum for those who left homes from Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhist, Jain and Christian communities. Their pain was forgotten. On the contrary, he appreciated PM Modi, who gave the rights of citizenship and rehabilitation to the refugees through CAA. The CM said that for the first time, refugees in Jammu and Kashmir and other areas received citizenship from CAA.
These people are contributing to the development of India, but the Congress never tried to rehabilitate them. CM Yogi paid tribute to the victims and said that our memories are saluted. He said that we are committed to protect and protect their interests.
